In the past 24 hours, Israeli airstrikes in the besieged Gaza Strip have claimed the lives of 31 more Palestinians and left 79 others injured, according to local health authorities. The total death toll in Gaza since the onset of the attacks last October has now surpassed 45,000, with the number of injured exceeding 107,000.

Qatar-based news outlet Al Jazeera reported that the relentless assaults by Israeli forces have caused widespread destruction across the region. The Gaza Ministry of Health confirmed the updated casualty figures, stating that 45,059 people have lost their lives, while at least 107,041 have been injured since the beginning of the conflict.

The devastation in Gaza is exacerbated by the lack of resources and personnel to rescue people trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings. Palestinian health officials estimate that over 10,000 individuals remain missing beneath the debris. The ongoing bombardments, which began after Hamas’s unprecedented attack on October 7 of last year, have caused extensive damage to hospitals, schools, refugee camps, mosques, churches, and thousands of other structures in the Gaza Strip.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is escalating rapidly. According to the United Nations, 60 percent of Gaza’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed. Moreover, over 2 million residents—approximately 85 percent of the enclave’s population—have been forced to flee their homes due to Israeli aggression.
