In a shocking incident in Gujranwala, Pakistan, two teenage daughters tied up their sleeping father and set him on fire, leading to his death in the hospital. The incident, reported by Geo News on Tuesday, January 7, has resulted in the filing of a case under sections 302, 324, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The deceased, identified as Ali Akbar, was reportedly living in a rented house with his two wives and ten children. He had been married three times, with his first wife having passed away earlier. According to the police, the crime was allegedly premeditated, with the involvement of Akbar’s second and third wives and their daughters, along with unidentified accomplices.

The complainant, Ali Akbar’s sister, alleged that her brother was drugged with sleeping pills and rendered unconscious before being tied up and set ablaze. It is believed that the petrol used to ignite the fire was extracted from a motorcycle. The sisters accused Akbar’s family members of conspiring to carry out the act due to unresolved domestic disputes.

Following the incident, two teenage girls, aged 16 and 12, were arrested. One of the suspects is the daughter of Akbar’s second wife, while the other is the stepdaughter from his third wife’s previous marriage. During police interrogation, both teenagers admitted to tying their father up while he was asleep and setting him on fire.

The victim succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
